Periodically, dietitians from the LSU-Extension Service provide cooking classes with nutritional education.

Medication Management: Medication screenings are periodically scheduled in various locations where clients are asked to bring in all of their medications during the screening by a Registered Nurse or a Pharmacist to make sure there are no drug interactions or duplicate medications. When a problem is noted, the client will be advised to contact their primary physician. Weekly pill organizers are distributed to senior citizens to aid in reminding them when to take pills and lessen some of the problems of improper dosing.

Contacts are made with older individuals through senior housing complexes, senior centers, local home health agencies, and annual health fairs.
