Family Caregivers Support Program
The Lafayette Council on Aging provides in-home respite. The LCOA is the entry point for client requests; Case Management will do the assessment to insure eligibility. The person being cared for must be 60 years of age. The caregiver must demonstrate a need for services.Depending upon the assessment, services will be provided accordingly.

In-home Respite and Sitter Service
The LCOA has scheduled educational meetings,to be held in the spring and fall of each year. The purpose is to share ideas and information about the importance of giving the caregiver some time away from the person to whom care is being rendered. Brochures have been prepared and are being distributed to potential clients or caregivers, giving them insight into the choices and resources available that will help them in their roles as caregivers.
