Beau Sejour is a Section 8, 202/8 property, providing rental subsidy through the Government’s HUD Program.  It is designated for senior citizens 62 years of age and older or disabled persons 18 years of age and older, with very low to moderate income.

 

This community is comprised of seventy seven (77) one bedroom and twenty seven (27) efficiency units. All of the apartments have wide doorways, low pile carpet and tile to insure accessibility for those with mobile impairment.

 

In addition, each apartment is equipped with 2 medical emergency call buttons; when pressed, you will immediately dispatch an ambulance and the police department for your medical emergencies.

This beautiful property has well maintained grounds with large shade trees, two gazebos with BBQ pits, patio furniture and ceiling fans for socializing, a beauty shop, a fully equipped laundry room, exercise room, library, indoor mailboxes, and a large community room.

 

The community room has activities such as bingo, quarterly birthday parties with a live band, presentations from area service providers, and complimentary holiday dinners prepared by our fantastic staff. Also, an on-staff Service coordinator aids residents in finding programs and services to satisfy their needs.

   

Beau Sejour also serves as a meal site for the Meals on Wheels Program where seniors in the Carencro area may come in Monday through Friday to receive a freshly prepared, well balanced meal at 11:00 am. This is a tremendous opportunity for socializing.

 

All of the buildings are ground level to insure accessibility. Included in your rent are water and sewage, garbage pickup, pest control, 24 hour maintenance for your emergencies, 24 hour courtesy officer, and access to all of our wonderful amenities and activities.
